Information

Luis Werkstein explores the space between design and sculpture. His work reflects on how objects carry memory, meaning and atmosphere, using subtle interventions to shift the perception of the familiar. Balancing function and sculpture, it inhabits the space where contemporary design meets history and poetic observation, treating atmosphere as a material in itself.

Luis studied Design and Sculpture at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg (HFBK), including a stay at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (AT). Prior to his studies, he worked as a studio assistant to artist Bernhard Martin.
