Sakral Fragment

This work explores the sacred as a spatial quality. It examines how form, material and proportion can create atmospheres independently of religious symbolism. Crafted in a single piece from rammed hemp-lime, the sculpture combines a contemporary building material with an archaic construction technique. Between architecture and sculpture, a space of density emerges, facilitating a physical experience of presence, tranquillity and mindfulness.
